Hello, my name is Ashlee DeMolles, I’m 18 years old and from West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. At the moment I am currently a freshman majoring in Animal Science at Iowa State University. My family and I raise registered Simmental and Hereford cattle. Although the hereford breed is one of the largest breeds, I am fond of the tight knit community and the opportunities the association presents to its youth. In the future I hope to increase our herd size and genetics as well as give back to the association that has done so much for me.

So proud of both the girls and how well they handled the week, especially handling 4 heifers all by themselves while we (the parents) weren’t able to be there in person.

Kicking off the week right in showmanship! Ashlee got Grand Champion Overall and Brittany was called back!

The girls are all settled in at the 4-H show this week!

Another spectacular Hereford junior nationals in the books!

This past week the girls trucked three heifers across country all the way to Kansas City, Missouri to exhibit at junior nationals and had a blast!

We can not thank our family and friends enough for supporting us and helping along the way. Meeting old friends and making new ones is what it’s all about and the Hereford industry is the best one to do it in.

Can’t wait until next year in Louisville, Kentucky!

Happy National Agriculture Day, Team Hereford!

Today reminds us all how fortunate we are to have food on our plates and for that, we are forever grateful for the hardworking farmers and ranchers.

The girls started off the show season this past weekend! Our Ashlee was selected as Reserve Intermediate Showman out of a very competitive heat and final drive at the PA Spring Spectacular this weekend in Bloomsburg, PA. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings!
