🏁 Day 2 of Cup Karts North America at Road America Briggs & Stratton Motorplex 🏁
Today we moved up to the Sportsman Class to get some valuable seat time ahead of the next Route 66 race. My goal for the day was simple: break into the 57-second range.
The competition was tough, but we kept getting faster all day:
• Practice 1: 58.99
• Qualifying: 58.60 (Fastest Overall – P1)
• Heat Race: 58.42 (Started P1 → Finished P1)
• Feature Race: 57.59 (Started P1 → Finished P1)
Thanks to Cale’s (Legacy Driver Development ) coaching over the season. Not only did we hit our goal, but I also earned my very first 1st Place trophy! 🏆
It definitely wasn't easy—the #88 kart was right on my bumper all day long, keeping the pressure on every lap. It was an exciting race from start to finish and a great learning experience.

Race Day 1 at Cup Karts North America 🏁
Today’s goal was simple: improve my times. I knew the competition was going to be tough, and there are some very fast drivers in this field. Instead of focusing on where I finished, I focused on getting better every time I hit the track.

This is why we kart. This is what it’s all about.
We may be competitors on the track, racing hard for every position, but off the track we’re friends, teammates, and one big racing family.
The trophies are great, but the friendships, memories, and respect we build along the way mean even more.
Competitors on the track. Friends off the track. That’s karting. 🏁❤️

Route 66 Sprint Series was one for the books!
I knew coming into this weekend that the karts would be fast and the competition would be tough. Most of these drivers had more experience than me, but if you want to get better, you have to race with the best and learn from them.
This was a track I had never raced before, and there were a few turns that definitely made me nervous. I had to push through some fears, trust myself, and just drive.
On top of that, we had weather to deal with. I had never raced in the rain before, so that was a whole new learning experience!
Sportsman
The competition was tough! This track was basically all gas and no brakes, making it hard to find passing opportunities. I had some challenges and plenty of learning moments along the way.
🏁 19 Kart Field
• Qualified: P14
• Heat 1: P14 ➡️ P12
• Heat 2: P12 ➡️ P11
• Main Event: P11 ➡️ P14
Micro Swift
These drivers were FAST, and I struggled to keep up early in the weekend. My confidence was a little shaken since we didn’t get much practice because of the weather. But I kept working, kept learning, and ended up bringing home a podium finish!
🏁 Qualified: P6
• Heat 1: P6 ➡️ P6
• Heat 2: P6 ➡️ P5
• Main Event: P6 ➡️ P5 🏆
Things I learned this weekend:
• Driving on a wet track is fun and completely different.
• I am very grateful for air conditioning because it was HOT… 90+ degrees all weekend!
• The kart can stick. I need to trust my driving and trust the kart.
• Cleaning and preparing karts is a huge behind-the-scenes job. Thank you, Mom, for spending so much time helping make sure everything was race ready.
• My dad rides every high and low right alongside me and always helps keep my head in the game.
Shout Outs

🏁 DAY 2 AT ROUTE 66 🏁
It was a HOT one today with temperatures in the 90s, so staying cool and focused was the name of the game!
Today’s schedule included two practice sessions, qualifying, and a heat race. The good news? No rain today! ☀️ My lap times improved a lot from yesterday, and I’m getting more comfortable with the track every time I hit it.
🏎️ Sportsman Qualifying: 14th
🏎️ Micro Qualifying: 6th
During the Sportsman heat race, there was a scary crash where a driver flipped her kart. Thankfully she was okay and walked away. After the restart, I raced hard and finished 12th out of 19 karts.
Micro has been a challenge this weekend. My times continue to get faster, but I’m still a few seconds off the pace. I’m working hard, learning every lap, and trying to find the speed I need.
A huge shoutout to my dad, who has been running nonstop in this heat making sure everything is perfect with both karts while I cool off in the air conditioning between sessions. Racing takes a whole team, and I couldn’t do it without him! ❤️
Now it’s time to cool off in the hotel pool with my racing friends and get ready for Day 3 tomorrow.

Day 1 at Route 66 is in the books!
My post is late because I spent time in the pool with friends - have to have some play time too.
Today was all about learning. We dealt with rain, a wet track, a brand-new course, and figuring out the fastest lines around the track. I also got some great coaching from Cale @ Legacy Driver Development ,which helped me learn more every time I went out.
Tomorrow, the goal is simple: pick up the speed. I need to trust my kart, trust that the tires will stick, stay on the gas, and keep building confidence. Another big part of my learning is giving honest feedback to my dad about what the kart is doing on the track so we can make the right adjustments. That’s a skill I’m still working on, but I’m getting better.
Every lap is a chance to learn, and every race weekend is another step forward. Ready to come back tomorrow! 🏁💨
