Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads out there! And happy Father’s Day too to the moms who took on both roles.
I’m sneaking in here as their social media manager and as Dave’s daughter (hi! and shhh, they don’t know I’m posting this) to brag about how amazing these two humans are. Over 20 years ago, Dave and Valarie met, two single parents who got each other from the start. They bonded over something they both knew well: how hard it is to fill both roles while being the only provider for kids who depend on you.
Out of that, and a shared love of food and hospitality, they built Ravenous Catering together. They put everything they had into it, and it grew into something they love as a team.
Everything we have today is because of these two. They worked their tails off, raised us as incredible single parents, and built the big, full family we are now. We just wanted to share a little piece of how much they mean to us.
And to every single parent reading this: we see how much you do, and you’re doing an amazing job.

We’re off doing what we do best for the next couple of weeks - enjoying the great outdoors and the great big world of food.
These smash burgers in Seeley Lake, Montana were some of the best we’ve ever had. Already getting inspiration for our meals back home. Late night wedding smash burgers on the menu, anyone? 👀
Passing on our love of cooking to our grandkids is one of our favorite things in the world. 💚
Smashed cucumber salad featuring help from our granddaughter, Olivia.

Dinner is served. We grabbed this pasta from henry.harrow.co, one of our absolute fave local spots, then tossed it with flounder, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
We are spoiled for choice out here in the valley, with so many incredible stores and growers to pull from. Including growing our own herbs and produce in the Ravenous gardens!
Building our menus around what they offer is one of our favorite things to do, and meals like this are exactly why.

🏳️🌈 Happy Pride! Love is love, it's that simple, and it always has been.
This month we want to say what we've believed since day one: every couple deserves to have their love celebrated, no exceptions and no questions asked. We have never turned anyone away and we never will, because love is something worth celebrating in all its forms.
However you love and whoever you love, you'll always be met with kindness here.
From Val, Dave, and the whole Ravenous family.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
