Let's talk about memories and your "things"...

Are you holding onto items that bring up negative emotions and not realizing it?

These moments of "ick" can be so subtle that we glaze right over them but they impact us in big ways!

Example so you can understand what the heck I'm trying to say...

I had a dress I LOVED. It was my fav color to wear, it laid perfectly in all the right spots. It was perfection.

AND...

It also made me think about the tremendous amount of loss our family experienced in 2018. Between my husband and I, four of our grandparents passed away.

I was wearing that dress when my grandma broke her neck and moved to a nursing home.

I was wearing that dress when my other grandma moved to hospice care.

I was wearing that dress when I attended the funeral of my hubby's grandpa.

There were other heavy memories attached to that dress and I finally realized it one day as I was scanning my closet that every single time I saw that dress, I had some "ick" wash over me.

It was subtle but it was there.

So I donated it. I donated a dress that was perfect for my body because it wasn't perfect for my happiness.

I say all of this to say -- look for clarity on WHY you are keeping things and protect your joy, my friends!
