Hey everyone! There are a lot of new faces on this page so I figured I’d introduce myself.

I’m Shell, the founder of Big Heart Project

I live near Asheville with my husband, daughter and our 6 animals

I’ve been working in animal rescue for over a decade - as a volunteer, kennel technician, and grant writer. I have also been a registered veterinary technician for almost 7 years! I have traveled all around the world volunteering with animals 🌎

I decided to start this organization back in 2022, and though things have taken a long time to get where we are at I am so excited for the future and have so many big plans for Big Heart Project

Saving animals is only possible with the help of others and my ears are always open to discuss things we can do to help. Feel free to comment or message me anytime to share your ideas!
