Rooted Wellness
Rooted Wellness | Pursuing Christ-centered health & wholeness while guiding others through coaching, group sessions & weekly classes.
The enemy's favorite tactic is to make us forget who we are in Christ.
When stress, fear, or overwhelming emotions rise up, one of the most powerful things we can do is preach the gospel to ourselves. We remind our hearts what is true, not what our feelings are telling us.
The cross changes our perspective. Jesus took on our weakness and separation from God so that we could walk in His victory, His presence, and His peace.
When the lies come, answer them with truth. Root yourself in God's Word, not your circumstances. The more we practice speaking truth to our souls, the more our minds, hearts, and even our bodies learn to rest in Him.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son..." — John 3:16

Many of us spend our lives trying to manage stress without first understanding what we're feeling.
As children, we learned emotional regulation through relationships. Someone comforted us when we cried, helped us rest when we were tired, and taught us how to navigate life's challenges. When those lessons were missing or incomplete, stress can feel overwhelming as adults.
The beautiful truth is that God never intended for us to figure it all out alone.
When God asked Adam, "Where are you?" He wasn't looking for information—He was inviting Adam into awareness. Before God leads us forward, He often invites us to honestly acknowledge where we are.
Peace begins with recognizing our current state and allowing the Holy Spirit to meet us there.
Today, pause and ask yourself:
"Where am I emotionally, spiritually, and mentally?"
Then invite God into that space.

Day 6
There are seasons when life leads us into places we never intended to go.
Sometimes we wandered there by our own choices.
Sometimes we were unknowingly led astray.
Sometimes we were wounded by circumstances we never chose.
Yet no matter how we arrived, we are never beyond the reach of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
He comes for what He loves.
He lifts us from the jagged places.
He carries us when we cannot walk.
He binds up our wounds.
And when our hearts have healed in unhealthy ways, He lovingly resets what is crooked so true healing can begin.
Some of the defenses that once protected us—numbing, overworking, control, avoidance, people-pleasing—were never meant to become permanent ways of living. What helped us survive can eventually keep us from becoming whole.
God did not create us merely to endure.
He created us to heal.
Healing requires rest.
Healing requires trust.
Healing requires time.
And just as a broken bone needs both immobilization and rehabilitation, our souls heal best when we:
• Rest deeply
• Nourish our bodies well
• Move gently when we are ready
• Follow the Shepherd’s guidance one step at a time
You are not stuck.
You are not forgotten.
You are not too wounded to be restored.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalms 147:3
The Shepherd who carries you is also the One who will teach you to walk whole again.

Project Stress Relief Day 4
Jesus was not driven by duty alone—He was driven by joy.
Scripture tells us that “for the joy set before Him, He endured the cross” (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus experienced the full range of human emotions, yet joy in the Father and love for us fueled every step He took.
The same God who created our bodies also created our emotions. They are not flaws to fix, but gifts to help us know Him more deeply. Even when our hearts feel sick from unanswered prayers and delayed hopes, God is near.
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” — Proverbs 13:12
When dreams die, God is still at work. He is the God of resurrection, bringing new life where there has been loss.
Today, surrender your emotions, your disappointments, and your healing to Jesus. He made you good, He walks with you in the waiting, and He alone brings true restoration.

God didn’t create us powerless.
He designed our minds and bodies with purpose, protection, and incredible intentionality. Even our responses to fear and stress reveal the care of our Creator.
But we are not victims of our emotions, our past, or our patterns. Through the Holy Spirit, we are invited into growth, self-control, healing, and renewal. God is still working in us, shaping every part of us for His glory.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7
David was exhausted, hunted, betrayed, and pushed beyond his limits. In a moment of stress and pain, he almost became someone he wasn’t. But God sent Abigail to remind him: this is not who you are.
How often do we do the same? When trauma, exhaustion, fear, and hurt rise to the surface, we’re tempted to react from pain instead of purpose. But the Holy Spirit still whispers to us in those moments, calling us back to who we are and whose we are.
Before we draw the sword with our words, reactions, or choices, may we slow down enough to listen. 🤍
“You are safe in the care of the Lord your God.” — 1 Samuel 25:29

You are wonderfully made — body, mind, and spirit — all intentionally created by God for good. He knows every seen and unseen part of you, and He calls you into wholeness, healing, and freedom so you can walk fully in His purpose.
God isn’t just after outward appearance or inward thoughts alone; He cares for the whole you. As we surrender our hearts, minds, and hidden places to Him, He renews us with life, peace, and purpose. 🤍
“So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.” — Romans 8:6
