Good morning Waterloo. There is an emergency planned power outage at 11am today for 4th Street (west of Library Street) and Morrison Avenue area. Should last no longer than 30 minutes.
The reason for this is some equipment was damaged last week and is in need of urgent repair.

Good afternoon Waterloo! There are no boil orders issued for the city of Waterloo.
Yesterday evening, there were reports of a sign at a local gas station indicating that one was issued-this was a case of mistaken information. A employee of the gas station read a previous article about a boil order, thought it was current, and put up the sign.
Easy mistake, but glad they take these seriously.
The City of Waterloo will be conducting city-wide routine hydrant flushing next week, beginning Monday, March 2nd. You may notice a slight decrease in water pressure while the flushing occurs in your area. If you have any concerns related to the hydrant flushing process, please call Deputy Director of Public Works, Nathan Krebel at 618-939-8600 ext. 212.
