At 6pm Monday evening I had my last WCUSD BOE meeting completing my 8 years on the board. Then at 7:30 pm I was sworn in as Waterloo, Illinois Ward 4 Alderman along with all those recently elected.

Thanks to all who supported both of these efforts. I’m looking forward to the next 4 years serving on city council, working with the great team of city employees, and serving those in my ward and Wateloo as a whole.

Well… it was a long election season that culminated with local elections today.

The results have yet to be certified however I’m proud to have earned the right to represent Waterloo, Illinois Ward 4 as Alderman.

Thanks to my incredible wife for picking up the slack at home which allowed me to focus on the campaign details and ex*****on. You’re amazing.

Thanks to all the voters who came out today. There were many contested races and you made your voices heard. Now it is time for your newly elected officials to get to the work of community.

Also, I’d like to thank the other two candidates, Justin Stephens and Dennis Bullock for running great campaigns.

Lastly, thanks to all the family and friends who provided so much support and encouragement over the last several weeks. It is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to everyone who took time to talk while I was out canvassing neighborhoods, to all who allowed me to out a sign in their yards, and to those who sent their support & kind words via calls, DMs, texts, emails or even just sharing a quick conversation if they saw me out.

After introducing myself when knocking on doors some people would say, “Oh, I’ve seen your signs.” And my reply was, “I’m glad you’ve seen my signs but now I’d like to give you some substance to go with them…” and, that is what I’ve worked to do throughout the campaign.

I‘ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love where I live and this campaign has only strengthened that feeling.

I would be honored to serve as Alderman for Ward 4 and would appreciate your vote today.

Again, thanks to all for the support and be sure to get out and vote! This is a hugely important election on a number of levels. Make your vote count. Ward 4 votes at the First Baptist Church on Covington Dr. Polls are open from 6a-7p.
