What is your definition of "wealthy"?
This article asked people and their answers vary between owning a home, going on vacations, leaving money for their kids, or not living paycheck to paycheck. Everyone's definition is different!
89% of Americans say they do not consider themselves wealthy — here's what stands in the way For many Americans, the definition of what it means to be well off is relatively modest. And yet, only one-tenth of Americans consider themselves wealthy today.

Most of my clients’ main goal of meeting with me is paying off debt and figuring out their spending and savings. A lot have tried to go through their bills, limit things like eating out, but still can’t seem to catch up or get ahead. My main goal is to dig into where their money is going and where they can make adjustments.
Being “debt free” can be different for everyone. Some would consider it having zero credit card balances, but still have a car and home loan. Some want all loans to be paid off. No matter your goals, you must maintain a budget or plan for your money, or it will get out of hand and the debt and bad habits can creep back in. The rich stay rich for a reason. They learn to budget, they just have bigger buckets of money to spend.
If you have tried to create a budget and it doesn’t seem to work or you can’t stick to it, I would love to help you! Schedule a free call today to discuss your goals and how we can work together to achieve them!
Everyone Needs a Budget - Financial Coaching | Juliano Financial Solutions Budgeting isn’t a bad word! There also shouldn’t be stress when talking about or working on your budget. It starts with a goal and ends with success. To break it down, a budget is a simple way to track income and expenses, knowing where it is coming from and where it is going. It will […]

This reminds me of the saying that if it was easy, everyone would do it. If you could be debt free, buy whatever you want, everyone would be rich and happy. Paying off debt and making hard financial decisions is not for the weak. Sometimes you have to make very hard choices that you never thought you would have to. But you will never progress by taking the easy route.
If you need help finding the things that need to change and know it will be best for you and your financial future, reach out today! I will be honest, but understanding the why behind those choices is important!

One savings accounts I always suggest to my clients is a Christmas fund. Every year, my family puts money aside on a regular basis to use just for Christmas presents. When December comes (or Black Friday), we know what we have to spend and discuss the budget for each person. The first year we did this, we actually were more excited to get presents for each other because we knew the guilt of paying for things wouldn't be there in the new year.
With the economy starting to rebound and the job market improving, people are more willing to spend on the holidays.
Do you have money saved or a budget for Christmas presents? What is your plan? Do you need help creating a plan for next year?
28% of credit card users are still paying off last year's holiday debt. But that's an improvement Americans tend to overspend during the holiday season. In fact, some shoppers are still paying off last year's purchases.

How many times have you failed then just gave up? It really takes a lot of faith and courage to try over and over again. Budgeting and paying off debt takes a lot of patience and courage to keep trying, even if it doesn't work the first time!

This year has been...interesting. I have posted before about the car fire we had, followed by a car accident, then I lost my job in May. We are coming back to our "normal", finally. I know I'm not alone, but it doesn't feel like that when you are in the thick of it! Like this blog post states...You are NOT alone!!!

It could be a loss of income, an unexpected major expense, or just daily living is getting hard to manage. No one is immune to life throwing you a curveball, and we had some major ones this […]

Being surrounded by expensive things doesn't mean you are rich. Often times, we collect STUFF that doesn't really bring you any value. I try to think about the things I keep or buy if it is needed or sparks joy (remember that Marie Kondo show on Netflix??). Does having a lot of stuff really matter or is it what you already have and the people around you that gives you purpose? Your financial life has a lot to do with your mindset. If you need help resetting that mindset or getting started with the stuff you don't need, reach out today!

Comparing what you have or don't have is harder than most people think. I know when we were struggling, it took us a while to stop caring what others thought or said about how we were spending our money. It is funny when my son comments on someone driving an older car that may have seen better days. I always remind him that it is more than likely paid off and they aren't paying $700+ a month for a car payment. They probably don't care what anyone else thinks! My car is close to 200,000 miles, but it is paid off and still running!
