Navy Veteran and ABLE today’s Veteran Outreach Coordinator Jim Bernholtz talks about PTSD and veterans. As Jim points out, veterans often overlook their own mental health, and in a Wounded Warrior Project survey, 77 percent of veterans reported dealing with PTSD.

On Monday, May 4, Mark will join advocates, organizations, leaders, and community members from across Louisiana for Disability Awareness Day at the Capitol — a day focused on raising awareness, amplifying voices, and advancing a more inclusive future for people with disabilities.

Getting the word out! Partnering with the National Association of State Treasurers, members of the Pennsylvania ABLE team, PA ABLE, joined with for the organization’s recent 2026 Advocacy Forum and Hill Day in Washington, DC.

PA ABLE staffers—Jolene Miraglia, Regional Program Relationship Manager, Northeast Pennsylvania and Diana Fishlock, PA ABLE Outreach Specialist—represented and spoke to many advocates about how ABLE accounts can financially enhance the quality of life for members of the disabled community, including those with autism.

Great day and Jolene and Diana even got the chance to meet Miss Morgantown’s Teen 2026 Olivia Mercer, who advocates for people with autism.
