Our Holiday Fair opens the day after Thanksgiving! From November 24 to December 24, the annual juried WAA | Holiday Fair will fill the galleries at the Washington Art Association & Gallery with a unique selection of irresistible gifts for that special person on your Gift list! Over 75 artisans and artists participating! WAA is grateful for all the hard work from volunteers, staff & trustees who pitch in to create a magical and joyous homage to the holiday season. We look forward to seeing you all!

For those (rightly) concerned about what to do in light of the Equifax debacle, here is some information from the FTC.

The Equifax Data Breach: What to Do If you have a credit report, there’s a good chance that you’re one of the 143 million American consumers whose sensitive personal information was exposed in a data breach at Equifax, one of the nation’s three major credit reporting agencies.

Like you, we at Kelly Law Offices are heartbroken at the thought of all those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Like us, you probably want to help but don’t know how. So with the help of charitynavigator.org, a fantastic resource, we’ve put together a small list of both international and Houston area charities with good reputations for financial transparency and accountability, devoting donations to the actual cause at hand and not administrative overheads, so that you can rest easy knowing that your donation is going exactly where it needs to go.

1. Direct Relief. A non-governmental, non-sectarian nonprofit currently providing medical supplies and shipments to residents of flood-ravaged Texas communities. https://www.directrelief.org/
2. Houston Food Bank. Feeding America named this charity “Food Bank of the Year” in 2015. It is now working to provide flood victims with the basic needs they desperately need. http://www.houstonfoodbank.org/
3. AmeriCares. More than 97% of all donations go directly to providing emergency medical aid, supplies, and clean water. They have established an emergency Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. http://www.americares.org/
4. Communities in Schools Houston. Hurricane Harvey struck right at the start of the school year. CIS Houston is committed to protecting children’s access to education in the greater Houston area. http://cishouston.org/
5. Houston SPCA. Providing emergency rescue and relief for the animals displaced and in danger as a result of Hurricane Harvey. http://www.houstonspca.org/

We’re sure these are only a few of dozens of worthy charities- but it is a start.

The cast of the Gilmore Girls takes a breather from the festivities to have lunch around our conference table. Don't see that everyday!

Kelly Law Offices was thrilled to be a part of the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest weekend here in Washington Depot. Thanks to our friends Jenny and Marcus Whitaker, and Katie Ornelas for caring so much about our beautiful town. The large group of community volunteers that helped make this event such a success showed the true heart of Washington to the appreciative and grateful festival goers. We had a blast!

Welcome Molly Spino to Kelly Law Offices. Molly will be assisting Jim in all matters regarding real estate and probate. After serving in the United States Marine Corp, Molly returned home to Torrington where she married her high school sweetheart, Nick, and is now the mom to three very busy kids. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Post University with a degree in Legal Studies. We are very excited to have Molly be a part of our team here at KLO!
