The Sisters/Princesses of S.K. Halbert Rising Star #47 were on the move once again, spreading love, joy, and laughter during the holiday season through food and family.
Special thanks to the clients, staff, and friends of Cachet Beauty and Hair Studio without your generosity, we would not have been able to accomplish so much. We also extend our gratitude to our H.D. Woodson partners: Ms. Wilson, Ms. Lee, Ms. Folks, and Principal Massey. We look forward to continuing our partnership throughout the remainder of the year!
Sisters Boston, Sister Dixon, and PWM Rose thank you for shopping, assembling the baskets, and delivering them.
An extra special thank you to Sister Witherspoon for stepping in and showing up for me in my absence. Your willingness to always say “yes” speaks volumes about your genuine sisterhood.
May the joy of Christmas continue to shine in every home. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅 🎄 ❤️

Viola “Mother” Fletcher, the oldest known living survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, has passed away.
Mother Fletcher was a living monument to our history, our grief, and our fight. A century after the flames of Greenwood, she stood before Congress and demanded reparations, recognition, and repair.
She spent her life reminding America of the truth it tried to forget and urging us to build a future worthy of the lives lost and the legacy she protected.
Rest well, Mother Fletcher.

When you're named after a person with a heart of gold, your Chapter RISES to the occasion.
S.K. Halbert Rising Star #47 didn’t stop at helping the Capitol View Library — we went a step further. In partnership with Cachet Beauty and Hair Studio, we collected donations and supported families of H.D. Woodson High School.
It was a pleasure and a blessing to help ensure the children of our future could enjoy a great meal with their families. This season can be especially difficult, and we hope we brought a smile, made a meaningful impression, or offered a little extra hope to someone’s Thanksgiving.
Thank you to our partners and to all of the sisters for your generous donations.
