I still see people ask why I stopped releasing music covers. The short answer is sustainability. YouTube became my top funnel for discoverability, and pivoting to reaction videos has genuinely worked great for me. Making covers on a regular basis stopped making sense from a business perspective back in 2020.
Since then, most of my music creation energy has gone into original work, especially my upcoming first solo violin fantasy metal album. That said, I never ruled out making a cover again. When the passion for a song or a game is strong enough, I honestly can’t avoid it.
So on February 3, I’ll be releasing my first cover of 2026, a symphonic metal arrangement of “Rex Incognito” from Genshin Impact. Genshin is one of those games that’s always been close to my heart, especially the music.
PS: And if you're a fellow Genshin player, Happy Lantern Rite!

The fact that the entire plot of the Inazuma Archon Quest is HIDDEN in Inazuma's Theme Song is AMAZING!
The shift from big band jazz to childlike waltz is perfect for Furina's personality! A theatrical facade with childlike curiosity.
