Meet Rosemary Lesintele, a member of a women’s group in Marsabit County, Kenya, who received support through an ACDI/VOCA-led program.
With improved market connections and resources, Rosemary and others in her community grew their incomes and strengthened local dairy systems.

Across Africa, Asia and Latin America, our work supports every stage of the dairy value chain:
• Improving feed systems
• Increasing smallholder productivity to strengthening cooperatives
• Expanding cold chain infrastructure
• Facilitating access to finance
These efforts have helped farmers and agribusinesses increase milk production, improve product quality, and connect to more reliable and profitable markets. Learn more about our programs in Kenya: http://www.acdivoca.org/projects/feed-the-future-kenya-livestock-market-systems-activity/

Investing in climate‑smart agriculture is transforming rural communities in western Honduras, and the results are being seen firsthand.
At a recent SAG‑ProOccidente Project field day in Intibucá, producers, government leaders, and development partners came together to witness how climate‑smart technologies and technical assistance are strengthening productivity, resilience, and opportunity across the region.
Through hands‑on demonstrations and farmer testimonials, participants saw how investments in improved irrigation, tools, and sustainable practices are helping rural families increase yields, build businesses, and create more stable livelihoods at home.
This collaborative project, led by Honduras’s Secretaría de Agricultura y Ganadería (SAG) and implemented by ACDI/VOCA, with support from partners Inter-American Development Bank and AECID, highlights the power of integrated rural development to drive lasting impact.
As producers continue adopting climate‑smart solutions, they are not only improving incomes, but also strengthening resilience and reducing the drivers of migration.

Creating a strong business enabling environment is a critical factor to realizing economic growth. Our programs strive to do just that, leveraging digital innovations where appropriate.
One example? Digitizing customs processes in Honduras.
Under the Transforming Market Systems (TMS) Activity in Honduras, we worked with the Customs Administration of Honduras (AAH) to simplify and digitalize administrative processes. The goal was to save time and reduce costs for all users of the system.
Together, the program and AAH jointly implemented a "Paperless Customs" initiative at five strategic customs offices (four maritime and one land) across the country, helping facilitate trade through agile and expeditious customs clearance, thereby reducing costs and increasing competitiveness.
The initiative eliminated 9 million paper documents annually, thanks to the use of electronic customs procedures, tablets, and optical readers, and created a faster, more cost-effective customs process.
Despite the program's early closure, AAH maintained its commitment to operationalizing digital solutions to support trade facilitation.
