During my recent stop in Ketchikan this past week, I visited JAG Shipyard to see the important work being done to support Alaska’s maritime industries.

As Alaska continues to grow in this space, our expanding shipyard capacity means new opportunities for investment, workforce development, and economic activity in coastal Alaska.

Facilities like JAG demonstrate how investment in maritime infrastructure can help ensure Alaska remains competitive while supporting the communities that depend on our working waterfronts.

Today, I had the honor of addressing the Alaska State Legislature for my annual State of the State address.

Over the past year, my team and I have delivered real results for Alaska - opening the door for responsible resource development, infrastructure investments, investing in rural healthcare, and ensuring Alaska plays a central role in America’s energy and mineral security future.
