I recently purchased a tote and was looking for my Petty enamel pin. It was on a jacket. I was so sad I could not find it and then I decided to look in the box where the remaining ones USED TO BE. I found 4!!!!

Today, we lost our father.
One thing my sister Sherry shared with us on the phone was how our daddy took care of us — and how his mother took care of her and her siblings. That legacy shaped him, and it shaped us.

Growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness also played a role in who I am today. While I’m not heavy on that part of my life now, the foundation is still there. Everything I learned about being a good human being came from my parents. Their values, their discipline, their love — all of it lives in me.

My childhood with my parents, growing up in Ivory Heights in Camden, was different, but it was beautiful. I had a wonderful childhood. My dad influenced so many of the decisions I’ve made in life. He and my mom shaped me in ways I’m still discovering.

My father lived a long, full, and beautiful life — 92 years. I am grateful for every year, every lesson, and every memory.

Not having both of my parents is something I never thought I would experience.
Yet I will always carry them with me. Always.

I am very close to running this pre-order for the paper pad that was in Michael’s. I contacted Michael’s but clearly the people I was in touch with no longer work with them or for them. So, nope. Their loss. The best thing about this relaunch, I will have absolute control over my products. I like that. All of my crafty friends know I am paper bougie. That is all I will say about that for now.
