A return to a classic look for me, but modified ever so slightly with the striped button-down instead of white shirt with a more formal collar.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I've wanted a brown suit for a long time and I finally took the plunge with this Mod 2 .co suit in pecora nera. I like the changes Cavour made to the Mod 2, the pleats and side tabs on the trousers, 3-roll-2 lapel, different gorge shape, and slight shirring on the shoulder all elevate this model above its predecessor.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Given this jacket is half cream, I thought I would wear white or maybe ecru dress shirts with it most of the time, but when I've worn it recently I keep pairing it with a light blue shirt instead. I'm not exactly sure why, but it does create a nice tonal look when paired with other blue pieces.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You may have noticed I've been absent for some time. On top of the pandemic, I was also searching for a new job and looking for a new house and posting just fell by the wayside. The good news is I landed a great new job that let's me wear tailoring every day and I think I'm ready to return to posting. I'll admit the habits required to keep this up have withered, but I've missed the community and I'm going to give it another go.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As I mentioned earlier, I think my new jacket in E. Thomas linen works equally well with darker accents for a more fall/winter look as shown here. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I'm interested in your thoughts though, which do you like this jacket better with, light or dark brown accents?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
