Washington DC Police Foundation
Investing in a Safe D.C.
The Washington DC Police Foundation (DCPF) was founded in order to generate resources to support crime prevention programs in the District's most troubled neighborhoods, especially programs directed towards at-risk young people. Thanks to our members and supporters, the DCPF is able to support youth and outreach programming for more than 10,000 underserved youth annually!

Please keep Officer Bennett's family in your prayers. We are grateful for his eternal sacrifice and profoundly saddened by his loss.
With profound sadness, we announce the line of duty death of Officer Terry Bennett.
Officer Bennett, an 8-year veteran of the department, was struck by a vehicle while assisting a motorist on I-695 on December 23, 2025.
“Officer Bennett was a model officer, a born and raised Washingtonian who wanted to make a positive impact on his community," said interim Chief of Police Jeffery Carroll.

Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to our Junior Cadets and their officer mentors!
Thanks to all of our partners and MPD for helping to give our youth and their families a Happy Thanksgiving.
We spent the day with our officer mentors packaging Thanksgiving kits for our 5th grade outreach program. This Friday, 150 Thanksgiving turkeys and kits will be distributed to youth throughout the city. A big thank you to and for their continued support of the Junior Cadet program.
