She Dropped 34 lbs of Body Fat!

“When I started with CD Fit through the American College of Cardiology corporate fitness program less than a year ago my two goals seemed simple, get stronger and lose weight. I had two previous injuries that really impeded that process in an effective manner, though. In college I tore my left trap, and then a couple of years ago I over trained and stress fractured both of my feet. Little to say there were many activities on both leg and arm days that I needed modifications for, but I wanted to see progress and Clarence has been great at knowing the difference between pushing you and not breaking you. I also suffered from chronic Migraines (having a migraine more than 15 days a month) which can really set back all progress when one feels increase headache pain with any type of movement. I started the year out using 15 lbs weights, and not being able to do much arm exercises. I could not jump or run too much due to the stress my feet felt. But that was where I was.

After several months, the strength and conditioning training was paying off. I was able to jump, run and started to increase my weights, but I was not seeing a difference in my weight or my Migraines. I was happy with the progress that I saw in my strength, but it is no joke- you have to change your diet. I started eating Whole 30 - commonly called an intense Paleo. I had no processed food, no added sugar, no alcohol, no dairy, no grains, no legumes, no caffeine, but I gained back a lot of flavor. I do my best to only eat food that comes from nature, which can be hard on days I travel. I dropped 30 lbs on 45 days of Whole 30 eating, but more importantly I feel better, I rarely have a Migraine and headaches are manageable. I have more energy to give in my workouts. I am up to 30 lb weights on leg days and did my first 10 pull-ups 2 weeks ago. I started at 160 lbs and 37% body fat, and now I am 126 lbs and 20.5% body fat as of May 2016.…”
