We are thrilled to be partnering with the Historic Congressional Cemetery for G**s & Graves: A Big Gay Festival! Join us for a vibrant day of Pride rooted in history, remembrance, and community. We’ll be hanging out all day (11 AM – 4 PM) with two special activities in tow:
🌈Rainbow Spinners: Come make your own rainbow twirlers with us to brighten up your space (free, great for kiddos of all ages).
🪎Pride Charm Bar: Build a custom charm bracelet or necklace packed with personality to commemorate the day (price varies).

This Week @ Merry Pin: 6/8 - 6/14

We wanted to share a quick update on our sidewalk cafe opening and financial position:

Unfortunately, we are continuing to face bureaucratic roadblocks to opening the sidewalk cafe. We've received conflicting instructions from DDOT about next steps and requirements at every turn, along with clerical errors and substantial delays in communication from their staff.

We're working with Councilmember Janeese Lewis George's office and others to try to cut through the red tape and resolve the issues, but in the meantime the continued lost revenue is making it very challenging for us to pay our bills and our staff.

Wondering what you're going to do while school is closed for Election Day? Join us for a special "Work & Play Day" at Merry Pin!

We'll have crafts available for kids of all ages, extra craft supplies on-hand, two dollhouses, our chalk wall, a road rug and cars, puzzles, and more to keep the kids entertained. There will be a story time led by our staff at 10am and 3pm.

We'll also have a dedicated staff person on-hand to assist the kids. Parents must remain present at all times. Caregivers remain responsible for their children’s safety and behavior.

Don't want to worry about breakfast or lunch? Take advantage of our special Work & Play Day Meal Deals for kids!
