In Greek mythology, Perseus was a hero known for bravery and epic adventures. Our Perseus? He’s on a quest of his own; conquering his shyness one day at a time. 💙

This adorable 3-year-old Mini Schnauzer mix may start off a little cautious around new people and pups, but give him some patience and you’ll discover a sweet, goofy sidekick hiding beneath that scruffy face.

Perseus isn’t looking to battle monsters — just searching for a family willing to help him build confidence at his own pace. He loves his daily adventures, enjoys soaking up the sunshine, and firmly believes that pets should never end. If you stop too soon, expect a gentle paw tap or nuzzle requesting more. 🐾

His perfect happily-ever-after? A quieter home with adults or older kids, plenty of walks, and humans who understand that every hero’s journey starts with a single step.

Meet Lila and Ellie, two adorable 1-year-old poodle mixes weighing in at about 50 pounds each. While they may share the poodle look, they each have their own unique personality and are looking for homes of their own.

💜 Lila is the definition of a velcro dog. After a few days to settle in, she’s become completely devoted to her people. She’s house trained, sleeps quietly in her crate all night, enjoys hanging out in the office during the day, and even stood politely for her bath like a perfect lady. Lila is friendly with other dogs but would much rather spend her time soaking up attention from her humans. She’s learning all about leashes and is discovering that a little cheese makes training much more fun!

💗 Ellie has been settling in beautifully over the past week. She’s housebroken, enjoys both people and other dogs, and is working hard on building her confidence and social skills. She even has a spa day on the books so she’ll be looking extra fabulous for summer! Ellie is making great progress every day and will be ready to charm everyone she meets.

Meet Rani and Nala, two adorable sisters who are ready to find their forever homes! 🏡💛🐾🐾

At around 10 weeks old, these sweet girls are full of playful puppy energy and all the charm that comes with it. They love playing with other dogs, do well with kids, and are busy learning the ropes of potty training. Nala is also cat-friendly, making her a great fit for a variety of homes!

Say hello to Bella! ❤️ One of the newer arrivals to Rhode Home Rescue, Bella is already winning hearts everywhere she goes. This beautiful fawn-colored shepherd/hound mix weighs about 30 pounds, making her the perfect size for just about any lifestyle.

Bella is the kind of dog who fits right in. She loves car rides, enjoys meeting new people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children, and always seems to have a wagging tail and a smile ready for everyone she meets. Her adorable expressive ears make it look like she’s listening in on every conversation!

Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, an adventure partner, or a couch cuddle expert, Bella checks every box. She loves getting outside for walks and exploring new places, but she’s equally happy curling up next to her favorite people at the end of the day.

She’s also a smart girl! Bella already knows commands like sit and shake, is fully house trained, and has excellent manners in the home. At the dog park, she enjoys sniffing around, making friends, and showing off a few happy zoomies before settling back down.

Bella would love a fenced yard where she can safely explore and play. She does have a prey drive, so any home with cats or chickens should be prepared to help her learn that those furry and feathered friends are family members, not something to chase.

This handsome boy is truly out of this world. Houston is crate trained, potty trained, knows his manners, and has mastered both sit and down. He’s wonderful with dogs of all sizes, has been introduced to cats and couldn’t care less about them, and is happiest simply hanging out with his furry friends.

When he’s not supervising mission control, Houston enjoys batting a ball around like an oversized cat, going for walks and hikes, and squeezing his 75-pound self into your lap for cuddles. He absolutely adores his people and forms strong bonds with those he loves.

Houston is trustworthy in the home, but like any good explorer, he’s always on the lookout for snacks left within reach. And if his favorite person heads off on an adventure? He may try to launch a mission of his own to follow them, so a secure 6-foot fence is recommended.
