Did drummer Stan Bicknell just confirm that SHANE HAWKINS is joining FOO FIGHTERS as their NEW DRUMMER??

Hours after JOSH FREESE announced that he had been let go from the Foo Fighters, Stan Bicknell posted to his Instagram stories claiming that he has been informed Shane Hawkins (son of the late Taylor Hawkins) will be taking over.

"I've just been informed, they've gone with Shane... 🤐 But you didn't hear it here ;) 🤫" he wrote.

Dave Grohl and co. have yet to comment on the situation, nor have they confirmed who will be the band's new drummer.

Dave Grohl played a surprise performance over the weekend at Oakwood Live, a school benefit in Los Angeles.

The Foo Fighters frontman was joined by his Foos bandmate Rami Jaffee, as well as drummer Wiley Hodgen and bassist/vocalist John Lousteau for the five-song set of covers.

They kicked things off with a cover of LCD Soundsystem's "Daft Punk Is Playing at My House." From there, they took on The Knack’s “My Sharona,” Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” with The Struts frontman Luke Spiller, and Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream” alongside Lisa Loeb.
