📢 New op-ed in the LI Herald 🚨

The 2026 Legislative Session is over, but New Yorkers are still struggling with higher costs, higher utility bills, and growing concerns about public safety.

While Albany Democrats focused on political priorities, I fought for tax relief, lower energy costs, election integrity, and safer communities.

Read my latest op-ed on what happened this session and what it means for New York’s future: https://www.liherald.com/fivetowns/stories/steve-rhoads-albanys-misplaced-priorities-are-hurting-new-yorkers,223212

Proud to be back home in Wantagh for the annual Flag Day Ceremony at Wantagh Elementary School!

As our nation commemorates America’s 250th birthday, it was especially meaningful to see students, teachers, and families come together to celebrate the values, traditions and the beautiful flag that unites us.

Thank you to Principal Dr. Randee Bonagura, Superintendent John McNamara, and the dedicated faculty, staff, and parents whose hard work and enthusiasm continue to make this cherished annual event such a success!

Albany’s climate agenda just ran into reality.

We fought. We won.

CLCPA mandates are being rolled back, electric school bus deadlines are being pushed out, and the unrealistic is finally being acknowledged.

This is a major victory for common sense, taxpayers, schools, and families across New York.

I’m proud to have led this fight—but we’re not done yet. We will keep pushing to repeal these costly mandates and deliver affordable, reliable energy for all New Yorkers.

Our most vulnerable New Yorkers deserve answers.

Two years ago, I called for an investigation into the CDPAP transition, the hand-picked contract, and the extraordinary favoritism shown to Public Partnerships LLC.

Today, federal prosecutors have brought serious allegations against some of New York’s highest-ranking health officials claiming a fraudulent bid rigging scheme to steer the contract towards PPL. If these claims are proven true, this was not a mistake—it was a betrayal of public trust at the expense of vulnerable New Yorkers, caregivers, and taxpayers.

This is exactly the kind of corruption and lack of accountability that flourishes under Albany’s one-party Democratic rule.

New Yorkers deserve the full truth, and anyone responsible must be held accountable.
