Great debate tonight in the race for 85th state representative. In my closing statement, I said that I admired Mary Mushinsky for her 44 years of service and related how we had worked together on some things over the years. We recalled working together to convince Bill Dickinson about the Linear Trail. Bill's first inclination was "linear trails...we have those...they are called sidewalks". Ultimately Mary and I convinced him the trail would be a good thing for Wallingford. I went on in my closing statement to talk about how no one person is indispensable and that I would work hard to do well by the people of Wallingford if they saw fit to elect me State Representative.

You know one of the greatest things about Wallingford is its people and today certainly had many events going on to connect with residents and friends. We started with breakfast at Wallingford Elks Lodge. Then onto the Wallingford Hungarian Club festival, where we had stuffed cabbage like my Hungarian grandmother used to make, and got some great Hungarian pastries from Palmi's Confections, Wallingford's wonderful Hungarian baker, and saw Tunde Kovacs and Csilla PΓ‘lma CzirjΓ‘knΓ© Γles. Then it was onto the church picnic of Holy Trinity-Lady of Fatima , seeing so many existing friends and making new ones.
