Back in the 1990s when the steeple was struck by lightning and caught on fire. A little girl was riding in the back of her car and said to her Mom, "look the church is on fire" !!

A great group of youth were confirmed some years ago!

A while back Pastor Mark called me up and said lets get together. We had a nice lunch and he gave me a check from all of you at Walker UMC to help with my medical bills. Thank you thank you! How wonderful! Thanks for showing the love of God! God bless you all! I am still in remission and taking oral meds and infusions to treat my leukemia. I should be done with the meds and infusions the first week of June. Thanks for all your prayers for a past pastor!
