WHO WILL BE JUDGED?
😥
The Bible says EVERYONE will face judgment.
• Believers will not be judged for condemnation, but for reward. Our works will be tested, and what is done for Christ will last. (1 Cor. 3:13)
• Unbelievers will be judged for rejecting Christ and remaining separated from God. (Rev. 20:15)
• Every person. Every nation. Every generation. No exceptions. (Matt. 25:32)
One day, you will stand before Jesus.
For some, it will be a day of joy.
For others, a day of terror.
The question isn’t whether you’ll face judgment.
The question is: Are you ready?
Trust the God Who Initiates
God didn’t wait for Mary to make the first move…He initiated salvation through the virgin birth. And He’s still at work in your life today. Even when you can’t see it, God is moving.
➡️ Believe in the God of the Impossible
When Mary asked, “How will this be?” the angel replied, “Nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).
That’s not just Mary’s promise, it’s yours too. What you can’t do, God can.
WHO GOD REALLY IS
To understand forgiveness, we have to understand the one who gives it.
So let’s rewind all the way to Exodus chapter 34.
Moses is on the mountain. He’s desperate. He says to God, “Show me Your glory.”
Now, God could’ve answered with thunder and lightning. He could’ve parted the sky. But He doesn’t.
Instead, He gives Moses a sentence. A revelation of His own character. And here’s what He says:
“The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness… forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin.”
This is a core element of who God is.
God doesn’t forgive because He’s soft. He forgives because He’s good.
Forgiveness isn’t a random act He sometimes does it’s part of His name. It’s embedded in His identity.
Let’s break this down:
➡️ Merciful – He doesn’t give us the judgment we deserve.
➡️ Gracious – He gives us blessings we never earned.
➡️ Slow to anger – He’s not on a short fuse with your failures.
➡️ Abounding in steadfast love – His love isn’t rationed; it overflows.
➡️ Forgiving – And He doesn’t absolve reluctantly. He does it joyfully.
This isn’t cheap grace.
This is justice fulfilled through Jesus. God’s wrath didn’t vanish. It was absorbed. On the cross. So you could be free.
Jesus told the disciples to wait for the Spirit before doing ANYTHING.
ACTS 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
ROMANS 8:11
“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”
1 CORINTHIANS 12:11
“All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.”
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12
English Standard Version
Why are you here
“In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”
John 1:1-5 NLT
Dietrich Bonhoeffer —
“Christian community is not an ideal we must realize. It is rather a reality created by God in Christ in which we may participate.”
