SO HERE I GO AGAINā¦BEGINNING AGAINā¦
Let me REINTRODUCE myself!!
I am Hope Jackson-Battiste mother of a child that is winning her battle with mental illness all while battling my own. Through the pain and struggles of battling mental illness I found my Purpose through Pain.
I began writing āļø a blog .com detailing a real life narrative of our struggles with mental illness.
I have acquired a certification in QPR Su***de Prevention, training individuals on knowing the signs of someone that may be in crisis. I also, have completed NAMIās certification training to teach Family-to-Family all while acquiring a certificate from Power Voice System for motivational speaking.
It is my Hope that we began to keep an open mind and gain knowledge in Mental Illness.
If youāre interested in Su***de Prevention training or Motivational speaking engagements please feel free to reach out to me by email at [email protected]

Iām learning to change my thinking in order to see things differently. Viewing things as obstacles Iām finding was keeping me from moving forward in certain situations, therefore keeping me stagnant.
Just know there are Opportunities In Obstacles it just may take more Prayer, more work, more thought, and more Confidence.

On Saturday, November 14th i conducted my 1st in person QPR Su***de Prevention Gatekeeper Certification Class. š
I have to give a special shout-out to Doris & Nita for coming out and being my 1st students. You both were so attentive & responsive to my teachings. Youāll never know how much it meant to me that you both came.
A Special shout-out goes to the East Baton Rouge Greenwell Springs Parish Library for allowing me to provide this course at your location. The accommodations were nice, clean, spacious for social distancing, and quiet.
*When you teach QPR to one person, you are also, generating conversations about su***de and itās prevention within that personās āinner circleā and, hopefully, increasing the odds that should someone among those touched by your training become suicidal, someone close to them will know what to do.*
My next course will be at the same location Saturday, November 28th . You can sign up at the library or by messaging me. Due to COVID-19 I can only accommodate 25 people per course.
