"Sunset at Whitepark Bay" (IMG1237)

A couple of weeks ago I was on the north coast for a photoshoot. Was finished before sunset and had no real plans except to get home as I had work in the morning. Driving up the road past Whitepark Bay I decided to quickly pull into the small carpark and was blessed with a beautiful view over the bay.

Have you ever been to Whitepark Bay? Are you aware that even the local cows love it too and are often seen sunbathing on the beach? (video in comments below)

This is the Yankee Girl Mine. It is located on a mountain road out west near Ouray, Colorado. I saw a notice yesterday that the road (more like a dirt and rock 4x4 trail) is already open for the season. I'm really looking forward to getting back out to explore more of trails in the San Juan Mountains this summer.

The birds are on the move! Nicole and I spent an hour out in the yard looking and listening, we had 57 species in that one hour! Here is the list...
