I’m Ellie Rae! Small-town Texas tradwife with big hair, big hips, and even bigger opinions.

I’m a full-time and part-time Nordstrom clearance rack addict. I’m old-fashioned enough to believe in God, guns, and making my husband’s plate first, but vain enough to make sure my hair’s curled while I do it.

Around here we pray over our meals, our marriage, and our country. We stand for the flag. We say “ma’am.” We wear dresses to vacuum. And yes, I absolutely believe being a wife is a full-time ministry—complete with pie baking, husband flirting, and making sure he never has to wonder if he’s loved.

I’m not here to argue. I’m here to share recipes, funny stories, Bible verses, and some good ol’ controversial truths that polite society forgot how to say.

Fried chicken, homemade buttermilk biscuits, and a husband who can’t keep his hands off me (or the food).

Recipe:

Soak chicken in buttermilk + hot sauce overnight

Dredge in seasoned flour (salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder)

Fry in cast iron till golden

Biscuits? Cold butter + buttermilk = flaky perfection

My grandma said if you don’t know how to fry chicken, you’re not ready for a ring. I believed her.

And yes, I fix his plate first. I don’t want a man who wants a roommate—I want one who wants a wife.

If that offends you, bless your heart. Go order DoorDash. I’ll be here making him dinner (and making sure he thanks me properly later 😉).
