My favorite night at Aztec is Thursday - and this one will be even better. Come in and howl at the Halloween Open Mic at Aztec Brewery. Our bands will be doing a few songs so drop by for a brew and rock out.

Did this design back in 2009 for a friend's Vintage Guitar business. Pretty sure it has a Gibson head stock because I own a Les Paul Studio.

I love the diversity of jobs I get as a freelance designer. Start off the morning with an amusement park map illustration, then dietary supplement packaging and bags for a line a line of breads for a bakery. Finally finish the day putting the final touches on a design for a War Memorial being installed at a church in Florida. Never a dull moment.

Had too much fun with this new label for Aztec's Annual Kitchen Sink brew.

New label and poster images for Aztec's 5th Anniversary beer releases. Part of the Brujeria (Witchcraft) Series. Bruja Rubia (Blonde Witch) is Aztec Agave Wheat Beer aged 8 months in wine barrels with Apricots and soured with B. claussenii which adds pineapple/mango character. Bruja Rosa (Pink Witch) is Aztec Hibiscus Wheat Beer aged 8 months in wine barrels with Tart cherries and soured with B. lambicus which adds enhanced cherry character.
I created original hand drawn line art and scanned it into photoshop to add color and tone. The logotype was created in Adobe Illustrator.

Detail images of the other 3 new Aztec Beer labels. The ABC Bock Beer is my favorite. There are only a few bottles left of it. It was a special release that is based on what Aztec brewed back in the 1930's — part of a series of old-style brews paying homage to the original Aztec Brewing Company. Traditionally Bock labels carry the image of a Billy Goat (Ein Bock in German). This image is a blend of the German tradition with Mexican art influences.

Detail images of the new Simrillo and Grapefruit Simrillo labels designed and illustrated by Claudia Faulk. This is a San Diego-style IPA made with Simcoe and Amarillo Hop varieties. The Grapefruit version is pretty tastey!

Just finished another round of packaging design for Julian Bakery. These renderings were created in Photoshop from the art that was set up to print boxes and bar sleeves.

Coming soon to the backs of North County Transit buses in the Oceanside CA area. I designed 2 ads that will be used to promote bicycle safety. Really tough to make these things work sometimes with the space restrictions, and areas like lights and license plates that cannot print.

Been a busy few months - but finally getting a chance to post some new work. This is an infographic illustration for the city of Carlsbad, CA that is being used to educate folks about storm water pollution and how to mitigate it's effects. Fun project and thanks to Hallie Thompson for giving me the job. Can't wait to see the final brochure
