GCC Engineering
GCC Engineering This has started in 1996. There is another page like this, but it's not a company site, this will be under construction for a long while.

UPDATE : The power supply that powers this circuit up, is not working, and I have to get it replaced soon.

This is what I for short wave radio station listening with my portable short wave radio. If you know visit this informative page here, you will see why I chose this to be part of my antenna. Another reason is that cable, especially long coaxial cables, can create signal loss, especially cables that have fall off measurements. The 470 uH inductor x 2 is the one way for it help transfer the signal without signal loss. I know this is not an active antenna, but it sure helps with signal losses.
There is a real active antenna called the PA0RDT antenna that uses the same concept as the Long Wire Match circuit.

I have been away for quite some time, and I am trying to make ends meet. I am running another page that is just like this one. I will soon change the format of this page soon when I get the time.

The new page has the latest updates of information related to the GCC Engineering Reference Page, plus more suggestions of technical reference material that would be helpful for anyone who wants to better themselves through electronics and communications.

Here is a world time clock for your short wave radio listening. Since we have to go by schedules we have to know the Universal Coordinated Time zone, and it can difficult without a world time clock. When you shop for a short wave radio try to find one with world time. Casio makes watches with world time that would be something worth wearing during DXing.

To get lower frequency reception better than you have with a loop antenna or active antenna, and active antennas need this, is a RF ground rod connection like this for example. It uses the soil as a ground plane and ground wave signals travel via the ground and also ULF and LF signals travel through the ground. This is another way to make a earth battery by using a zinc and copper rod electrode for making a LED light light up with a joule thief.
I cannot update this page, I have to fix my photos to fit properly.
This page is going to be under construction and hopefully stays online.
