VHS began as a single, two-story brick structure that outgrew its capacity as enrollment increased after WWI .
In 1922, the campus acquired a second large brick building -- the white-columned one still standing at 8th Street and Lee Avenue that most think of as the Victoria High School. It is to this building that hundreds of alumni flock every spring for a grand reunion. Former students, teachers, and staff get together, reminisce, and share precious little pieces of "days gone by." The beloved old school
