With Thanksgiving coming up next week, it's important to remember a few key things.
👉 Prioritize protein: make turkey the star of your Thanksgiving plate! Protein is perfect for staying full and energized this holiday. 🍗
👉 Listen to your body: it's important to remember that after having Bariatric surgery, your stomach will be significantly smaller, making it crucial for you to listen closely to your fullness cues. Enjoy your meal, but remember to stop when full and avoid over-eating.
👉 Be mindful of portion sizes: it is very easy to over-serve ourselves on holidays like Thanksgiving, but remember the importance of properly portioning your food. 🍽️
👉 Limit starchy food intake: starchy foods should be eaten after protein and non-starchy vegetables on Thanksgiving, and should be limited to avoid over-eating.
And finally, the most important tip of all: enjoy your day and have a happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁
