Montoya's Orchard is a family-owned and operated farm, with three generations often representing at the Rail Yards Market ABQ. The family has been farming for 4 generations, and have been selling at Farmers' Markets since 1978!
Their signature is all things APPLE! In the fall you'll find all sorts of fresh varieties of apples, including honey crisp and buckeye galas. Throughout the year you can savor their specialty apple products. Apple and cherry slushies are a fan favorite at the Rail Yards ABQ, and perfect way to stay cool when you visit the historic yards.
Their booth is always a colorful and abundant show that is a must-visit at market. In addition to apples, you'll find seasonal fruits like peaches, cherries, blackberries, peppers and more.
Montoya's Orchard has been a staple producer for the Rail Yards Veggie Box program, which supports small farms all around New Mexico. Rail Yards Market, a certified non-profit 501(c)3, coordinates the farms, and assembles and distributes shares. 75% of proceeds go directly to farmers from the Veggie Box, and the other 25% supports the non-profit endeavor, so you can feel confident that you've made a good choice supporting local in a holistic way. Subscribing for a weekly share of produce is a great way to support small farms, like Montoya's Orchard, and get a bountiful variety of fresh and locally grown produce every week.
