We had a fantastic day today at the 53rd running of the Stan Sayres Memorial in Longview, Wash. Three boats...three podium finishes.
The race was a points race format, with the boats scoring the most points being the winner.
The 1986 Squire Shop Brittania won the final heat and finished second in 1/10 scale classic points with 1,200, while the 1975 Pay 'n Pak finished third with 900, despite scratching from the final.
The 2023 Flav-R-Pac took third place with 800 points, winning two preliminary heats and struggling with two DNFs.
All in all, it was a great day and we were so happy to be a part of today's race! It was so nice to visit with so many positive and friendly residents of Longview who were excited about our racing. Longview is an amazing community and we love racing there.

Congratulations to the winners of today's 53rd running of ERCU's Stan Sayres Memorial, presented by Skidfin Solutions -- the oldest RC hydroplane race on the planet.
It was a beautiful day in Longview, Wash., and we were greeted very kindly by all of the locals who visited our pits and watched our racing.
The Sayres Memorial was a points race, where the winners were determined by total accumulated points, rather than the winner-take-all final.
