We went to the coast to celebrate Becky turning 50 and somehow still ended up in a thrift store.
Grace and Becky, the pacific ocean, and sea lions barking in the distance like supportive chaos goblins. It was perfect.
And yes, we did what we always do. We hunted. We found. We rescued. One shop sent us home with our treasures in an old box labeled “mom’s old sh*t,” which frankly feels like the highest possible honor.
Fifty feels brave. It feels seasoned. It feels like knowing exactly what you love and not apologizing for it. Which, coincidentally, is also how we feel about vintage.
A few of these coastal finds will be making their way into Mosswood Mercantile inside Main Street Vintage in Uptown Vancouver, Washington soon.
Stay tuned.

A new little department has quietly landed in our booth at Main Street Vintage.
We’ve added a full sticker display featuring 30 Wordy favorites. These are printed from original photos of sold out Wordy Plates, letting some of our most loved designs live on in a new way.
They’re currently exclusive to our Mosswood Mercantile booths at MSV. Not online yet. Not anywhere else yet.
If you’ve ever missed out on a plate you loved, this is your second chance in a smaller, stickable format.
And if there’s a favorite you’re still thinking about, tell us. We’re building future sticker orders now and would love to include the ones you miss most.
They’ll also be making their debut at Portland Saturday Market for Opening Day on March 7, with an online release coming later this season.
Tiny art. Same energy. Just a little more portable.

We first spotted this mid century bamboo and rattan étagère tucked inside a storage unit we were clearing out, surrounded by years of life and forgotten treasures. Even with a little wear and tear, it had incredible bones, woven details, and that warm, collected look that only vintage gets right.
Glass shelves, beautiful scale, and just enough character to feel lived in without feeling tired. We priced it well below comparable pieces because we believe good vintage should be accessible, especially when it still has so much life left in it.
Come see it in person at Mosswood Mercantile inside Main Street Vintage in Uptown Vancouver, Washington. This corner of the booth is feeling especially cozy right now.

‘Blind Date with a Chef’ focuses on vintage and chef driven cookbooks, perfect for anyone who loves food culture, restaurant stories, and the kind of cookbooks that feel like they have lived a life. No spoilers, just good vibes and great pages waiting to be discovered.

We are starting 2026 with something we have been quietly building for a while. Our new ephemera collection is officially out in the world. Vintage paper goods, old book pages, maps, music, illustrations, and beautifully worn fragments pulled from forgotten books and collections. These pieces are meant for artists, journal keepers, collage makers, and anyone who loves objects with history and texture.
You will find the full ephemera display in our booths at Main Street Vintage in Uptown Vancouver WA. Slow down, dig through, and let something spark an idea. This collection is all about curiosity, creativity, and the joy of discovery.

Mosswood Mercantile added a little holiday warmth this week. It all feels extra cozy in our corner of Main Street Vintage here in Uptown Vancouver WA. Come wander and see what you fall in love with.

Our newest surprise drop is here. Say hello to Blind Date with a Recipe Box.
Each mystery pack holds a vintage community cookbook filled with recipes, stories, and quirks from kitchens all over the country. These books were created by churches, clubs, neighborhoods, and volunteer groups, which means they’re packed with personality and real lived history. You never know if you’re getting a treasured pie recipe, a suspicious casserole, or someone’s grandma’s holiday favorite, and that is half the fun.
Every recipe box is wrapped, tagged with a few clues, and ready to gift to yourself or another curious cook.
And yes, Blind Date with a Book is still going strong too. We restocked both displays this week if you’re in the mood for a little mystery reading along with your mystery cooking.
