I’m up with the roosters crow, gathering edible flowers for one of our talented chefs. Can’t wait to see what he does with them.
Hey family! We’re so excited to be teaming up with True Leaf Market for a great cause. Planting wildflowers adds interest and beauty to your landscape but more importantly wildflowers feed and support our incredibly important pollinators bees and butterflies. We take care of them, they take care of our farms and gardens. It’s a beautiful relationship. Please help us support the effort by buying and planting this beautiful wildflower seed mix. Click our link to get your bag of seeds. Can’t wait to see your flowers growing💐🌸🌻🌺 True Leaf Market
Have you ever tried quail eggs? Tiny but mighty and hypoallergenic.
Peep those greens……and purples reds and pinks too. 🌱
Happy Harvest and Delivery Day!!! See you soon with your orders 🌱🌱🥚
Botany, alchemy and barefoot morning flower gathering. It’s a beautiful way to start the day. These beauties will be tinctures to become botanical highlights in culinary and cocktail bitters.
Chocolate brown, olive green and blues. These are going into the incubator today and in about 7 months we’ll see darker more vibrant colored eggs from the hens we hatch. It’s a long process but these colors are worth the wait.
We want your dish to shine, get all of those mmmm’s, and have people begging for your recipes. You can taste the difference in a meal that’s been prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. We’re proud to offer the freshest, organically raised greens and eggs to help make your dish the star ⭐️
Love seeing these two strolling around the farm.
I’m a sucker for pretty packaging.
We’re sold out of our chicken eggs for the week but we have some delicious quail egg dozens available. I’ll be out making deliveries tomorrow. Let me know if you’d like some.
Rainy morning rainbows sprouting in the grow room. 🌈
She’s an oldie but a goodie. Say hi to our new farm truck. You’ll see us out and about making deliveries soon!
My 4Runner was named Poe, thinking maybe Peony. Oooh maybe Winona… I can’t decide. Help me name her.
Harvest day is the best day. Especially when you’ve grown something new and you get to try it. The Nasturtium is 🔥🤌

Who knew new pea seeds could be so beautiful? Can’t wait to see how this tray turns out. So happy to be getting more edible blooms. I think I’ll make a fancy spring roll with them tonight.

Rich & Christy
You either love grits or hate them. I’m the former. When I lived out West I found one single brunch spot that served them. Needless to say it became my go to spot. Here I grated some salt cured yolks from our pasture raised chickens over top of Weisenberger stone ground whitegrits, grown in Hardin, Ky. Voila! Sunny grits. The yolk gave it a pop of velvety richness. I think I’ve found a new breakfast staple.
Our sister grabbed us some fresh delicious peaches from And we made a heavenly peach crisp.
There is something really special about preparing a meal from ingredients that have been grown or raised locally. Get to know your local farmers, shops & restaurants. It’s equally as satisfying for us watching you select our best, as it is for you to enjoy it. Stroll through the farmers market, basket in hand. Watch the excitement on their faces when you ask them about their offerings. Guarantee it will be a happy, passionate exchange that leaves you feeling so good. There are so many wonderful farmers and artisans in this community. We’re so lucky. Oh, and have the fries sometimes too. But if you must. Do the Truffle fries.
A peek at the grow room
A little late night sowing after a busy day. So excited to see how these new varieties turn out.
Such a rewarding day. Our first microgreens order was delivered to one of our favorite restaurants and chef. I hope these land on your fancy plate soon. Message to order.
Sunday morning ritual. Wildflower pressing and drying. Yarrow, red clover and chamomile 🌿
made us a beautiful charcuterie for dinner. I put some honeysuckle in my Prosecco… divine.
We love the colors we’re beginning to get. Our girls hatched a little black bantam, she looks like a little crow. The tiny dark green egg is hers.
What you see is a culmination, not just products. A tiny seed in the dirt, carefully watched over and doted on for months, patiently waiting for blooms. A walk in the sunshine, basket in hand, selecting and gathering the wild. Hatching and raising our flock to be healthy and happy to produce the most golden egg yolks around. Placing petals in books just so, to get the perfect pressed bloom. These aren’t just things that I sell. They’re infused with the happiness it brings me to gather and grow and share. Thank you for supporting us on this journey to bring beautiful things to your table🌸

Packaging our midweek orders for our loyal customers. We appreciate you!
We had a busy weekend. Shaking off winter and whipping the farm into shape. Sowing seed, planting starts, shoveling compost and soil, getting whipped by the tiller. I think we’re going to need our work week to recover. We still have a long way to go, but we’re getting there.
Wild Violet Cordial (Simple Syrup) available in limited supply. Add to cocktails, lemonade, or seltzer and take your drinks to the next level.
This girl works full time at Wills Animal Hospital, keeps the barbershop spit shined on the weekends and makes time to pick flowers and deliver orders for me. We appreciate you so much
A day in the life of a small farm.
❤️ Wyatt and his chickens. .kirtley
Lisenting to Scarecrow picking up the pace and attempting to get these violet blossoms steeping before we take off to Nashville.
My wild violet jelly became a pale pink in the process. Although next time I’ll try and steep more blossoms, it turned out pretty and tastes so delicious. Now available in our shop!
$5 for 4oz jar
$8 for 8oz jar
Uncle David hit the jackpot and shared some of these monster Morels with us. Can’t wait to eat them.
Wild violet tea perfection
So many beautiful things happening on the farm. We’re looking forward to seeing the rainbow of eggs these girls will throw. Blues, greens, brown and white. I’m having to take a 6 week hiatus from some of our projects while I recover from surgery. But soon, we’ll be back at it better than ever. Quail eggs and microgreens are next on the honey do.
The Oval Office is coming together and nearly complete. Isn’t she the cutest? Huge thanks to Trey Butler for building it for us.
