“Mom, what time is math?”

By the time we find the worksheet, answer the email, and do the first load of laundry… the day’s gone sideways. We’ve seen this spiral a lot—and it usually starts with no clear rhythm.

Try this “Home‑School Sprint Board” plan:
3 fixed daily blocks (learning, chores, life stuff)
+ a weekly 10‑minute review

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s a predictable structure your kids can read, and a plan that helps you handle real-life responsibilities without constantly renegotiating.

Screenshot your setup and share it with the CTR community so other parents can copy what works for their household rhythms.

That moment when your kid stops asking, “What page next?”
…and starts pitching the weekly project themselves.

We see this milestone a lot: moving from guided worksheets to a child-led weekly build. Here’s how we help make it doable (not overwhelming):
• pick 1 theme
• set 1 outcome
• plan 30–45 min

CURATED resources (CTR-style):
community-matched curriculum
reading + notebook prompts
project checklist

TECH setup that’s parent-friendly:
simple folder system
a single video/worksheet link
weekly “show & tell” doc

Homeschooling moms, stop going solo...

Yesterday we had a new family DM us after choosing curriculum, then immediately hitting the hard part: “Who do we meet with?”

So we’re trying a “Neighborhood Learning Map” the simple way—your ZIP (or nearest town) + your grade range. From there, CTR Homeschooling organizes meetups around real constraints:
- drive time
- co-op availability
- shared curriculum interests

And for the first month, newcomers get paired with one buddy family (same grade band, similar schedule if we can match it).

If you’ve been wondering whether there’s a network near you, we’re building it with the community—by the community.

Stop guessing—use a ‘Misconception Log’ to assess learning without test pressure.

When your child misses a problem, write:
- What they answered (or what they said)
- What they *thought* was going on (their reason)
- The misconception you suspect
- A quick note on what worked when you reteach

We recommend reviewing the log every 2–3 weeks. Patterns jump out fast—especially the ones you can’t see during a single lesson. Then you can adjust instruction with confidence (not “maybe they just need more practice”).

I get it.

Connecting with other homeschooling families can be daunting 🤔.

But once you do, the support and shared experiences are invaluable!
