🖤❤️💚 Honoring Juneteenth 💚❤️🖤

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history that marks the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation—freedom was finally proclaimed to enslaved people in Texas.

At the Tunxis Foundation, we reflect on this day not only as a celebration of freedom, but as a call to continue advancing equity, education, and opportunity for all.

Remembering all those who served, today and always.

Still Tickets Available! The Foundation’s Spring Fundraiser, Pints and Pizza, at Kinsmen Brewing Company, will be held on Friday, April 25, at 5:30 pm. The $50 event ticket includes your pint of choice, a wood-fired oven pizza bar, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, live music by Impromptu, and a donation to the scholarship fund. The event will include a “Drop in the Bucket” drawing, Sports Memorabilia, and a Silent Auction. Funds from this year’s event will help fund the scholarships and Mini-Grants for CT State Tunxis.
