🚨🗞️ The Winfield Township Board joins the West Porter Fire District in Withdrawing from Fire Territory Negotiations with the Town of Winfield 🗞️🚨
Winfield, Indiana - This evening, December 26th, 2024, the Winfield Township Board voted to withdraw from on-going negotiations with both the West Porter Township Fire Protection District and the Town of Winfield due to the deteriorating state of these discussions. While the Township Board and Trustee remain committed to improving fire and ems services for Winfield Township residents, the plan as currently constructed would have sacrificed the Township’s autonomy and jeopardized our resident’s decades-long investment in the Lakes of the Four Seasons Volunteer Fire Force. This decision will not impact current service levels, as all three entities have service contracts in place for at least the next year. The Board and Trustee will continue to work with all interested parties to continue improving the lifesaving services our friends and neighbors expect and rely on.

I am proud to show my support for my friend, Jose Diaz for Munster Town Council - Ward 1. Jose has kept his message about Munster positive and like so many of you, moved to Munster to give himself and his family a better life, something we should all be proud of.
If you live in Munster I hope you consider voting for my friend Re - Elect Chuck Gardiner - Munster Town Council. Chuck works hard to help maintain the pedestrian-friendly, resident-friendly town we all have come to love. Chuck will continue to do this as a member of the Munster Town Council.
While I met Chuck just a short time ago, it has been a privilege to learn more about the work he does in our community. Chuck is a family man and wants to continue to do his part to help keep property values in Munster high so that we can maintain a strong school system, keep us safe, and build a strong sense of community here in town.
Early voting has begun and the primary election takes place on May 2nd. I plan on supporting Chuck and I ask that you do too.
I am very excited about the Ridge Rd and Calumet Ave Streetscape project. Plans began in 2019 and as I go to the area every day, I can tell that preliminary work on the project has already begun.

I am so thankful for the hard work of the Civic Foundation of Munster for planning such a great event! Light the Night in Munster is here to stay! The continuous support of small businesses, schools, and churches in town are what make events like these great.
