Meet Chris👋
Chris joined DV8 Kitchen for the second time about a year ago, bringing with him a renewed commitment to recovery and a deeper sense of purpose. Originally from Kentucky, his path to DV8 has been marked by resilience. After spending years working in construction, Chris’s life shifted as he struggled with addiction, eventually leading to multiple stints in prison. Following his most recent incarceration, he knew something had to change.

Chris was first introduced to DV8 in 2023 while still incarcerated. Chris’s testimony shows what we know about addiction: progress isn’t always linear.

Despite a relapse and a return to prison, when he got out of prison a year ago, he made a choice to give recovery another chance, and DV8.
