"Local Flowers Community Mural" is Avery Williamson and Krista Skytta's ArtPrize entry this year. They design murals meant to be painted by many hands, so it went up with a lot of help from Atoms, their kids, and friends who showed up to paint.

Come see it at 1034 Wealthy St SE. ArtPrize, Grand Rapids' citywide art competition, runs Sept. 18 to Oct. 3, with preview week Sept. 12 to 17. Vote ID 30154.

Tech Week Grand Rapids runs Sept 14–19. Ours starts three days early, this Friday, and then both of our hosted events happen next Tuesday. At all three Atomic Object-hosted events, expect candid conversation about where AI belongs in your work, and where it doesn’t.

First up, this Friday, Sept 11, from 2:30 to 5 PM. Dan Chuparkoff, formerly of Google, McKinsey & Company, and Atlassian, comes to our Grand Rapids office for a pre-Tech Week primer with A:LAB. He’ll talk about AI’s impact on the future of work, then Q&A, then cocktails from 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐬 & 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬, and a DJ set.

Then Tuesday, Sept 15, is our day:

8 to 11 AM. The Collider: AI Garage + HealthTech, with Cherry Health and Acrisure. Coffee, casual conversation, and hands-on AI demos, plus Cherry Health’s Vision Bus in our side yard, open for tours with retina scanners on board.

1 to 3 PM. Move Fast and Deliver Better Care: AI in Digital Health, co-hosted with mentavi_health. Corewell Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI, and Digital Diagnostics will discuss effective AI use in patient care.

All three are free to attend, and we hope to see you at one of them!

Atomic Con 2026 just wrapped and we’re still smiling 🌵☀️

In 2001, Atomic Object was just getting started. Twenty-five years later, we gathered in Phoenix to celebrate how far we’ve come and the Atoms who made it possible.

From horseback riding and mountain biking to desert hikes, botanical gardens, and poolside hangs, everyone chose their own adventure. We had Atoms who’ve been here for decades and Atoms who just joined this year, sharing stories, swapping ideas, and getting to know each other beyond the office.

More than anything, it was a celebration of 25 years of craft, steady growth, and showing up for each other and our clients.
