I won Best Commercial Photographer at the Best of Mile High Awards… while also photographing the event.
Which means yes—there are absolutely photos of me winning.
And yes… I made weird faces.
Occupational hazard, I guess.
Honestly, this one hits different. I spend most of my time behind the camera capturing moments like this for other people, so being in front of it (mid-celebration, mid-chaos) was a little surreal.
What makes it even better is how many of my clients and friends were finalists too. Getting to photograph you and celebrate alongside you? That’s the good stuff.
To everyone who trusts me with your brand, your team, your events—thank you. This doesn’t happen without you.
Now back to my regularly scheduled programming: making sure you look amazing… and strategically deleting any photos where you make the same face I did.

It's Award Season, baby!!! It’s basically my version of the Oscars / Grammys… just with less couture and more camera gear.
I’m incredibly honored to be nominated for the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻/𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 —which feels equal parts amazing and slightly surreal.
Here’s the best part though: I’ll be photographing the awards that night… so even if I do win, there will be zero photographic evidence of whatever awkward face I inevitably make walking up there. Truly ideal.
But honestly, what makes this nomination so special is the community I get to be part of. The other business owners in this Chamber are next level—and the women in this category? Unreal.
Like Zoe from Cencalli Taqueria—that woman is absolutely on fire. And Nakita from Blush, who is constantly growing, evolving, and building something incredible. These are businesses I would happily lose to because they are just that good.
Getting to be nominated alongside women like this is the real win.
Huge thank you to my clients, friends, and fellow business owners who support me, refer me, and make this whole journey way less lonely. This one means a lot.
Now if you need me, I’ll be behind the camera… avoiding eye contact with the stage just in case my name gets called.
