Many of my clients know the difficulty of obtaining this material in nearly any quantity since the quarry ceased producing roofing slate in October, 2024.

We just completed a full repack and inventory of this historic Ludowici 15” x 7” Norman tile with pitted surface texture. This profile is perhaps of the most desirable in North America. It’s simple yet truly unique character with slight bows and warps in some of the tiles and the rough surface texture makes it a perfect classic European look and feel.

We have several semi-loads available right now – at a very reasonable price. Act fast as this tile doesn't "hang around" very long.

This is a vintage Ludowici 13-1/4” Spanish tile, one of the most common tiles installed on roofs throughout the United States. What’s unique about these tiles is that it’s the old true Fire Flashed color, a process no longer used combined with a heavy wire scored surface texture or a weathered (sandpaper).

We are always seeking these types of tiles, may it be small quantities or full roofs. These tiles shown represent about a full load of material grand total (approx. 20 squares of each). Not enough for a full, large roof, but if your client is considering a standard red tile roof with some “POP”, these would work very well to achieve that goal without breaking the bank!

For years, we have been enticed by the allure of unique and rare roofing tiles. This group of tile meets that statement. Several years ago, we were offered and agreed to procure this large group of Ludowici Yale Memorial tile.

Everything about this tile is unique; it’s a graduating rustic slab shingle ranging in sizes from 12” x RW x 5/8” thick and up to 18-19” x RW x ¾-1” Thick. The surface is wire scored along with custom chipped edges. No two tiles are alike! This tile is extra heavy, so your structure must be able to withstand the weight load.

As of this writing, we have several semi-loads available. More than enough for a full roof. We don’t expect clients to call asking about repair tile, but more-so a custom solution for a client looking for a rare and unique tile that might only see once or twice somewhere else.
