Two years ago we lost this sweet girl. She was everything to us. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her. would have loved her sister and came to us because of her.
Today I did a degustazione of a different kind. Very different!! Apparently in high demand here and mine (according to a New York connoisseur) are delicious. They placed quite a substantial order !!! To quote Michael Corleone….
Happy to these two trouble makers, travel buddies and best friends. I couldn’t love them anymore than I do. 🐾🐾🐾

In the crazy and hectic lives we have had these past two weeks it was hard to eek out time to honor this beautiful woman. I don’t know what she would think of this next venture. I do know she would be pretty pi**ed that we have liquidated our lives (and hers). I hope she is looking down and saying bold move!!! After all, I have some big shoes to fill. Ti amo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
When in Rome or Gloucester…….. the freshest tuna evah (I have my Bawstin accent back). Thank you for filling our need to eat amazing seafood. I chopped the tuna wicked small and tossed with sesame oil and a little rice wine vinegar. Layed it on a bed of avocado 🥑 on Himalayan salt tablets. Oh, the things you find cleaning out your house!!!! (kinda)
The term means green grocer and it has been my mantra this week with both a soup and a frittata. The combo of late winter/spring vegetables is amazing. ……. This potato, thyme crusted frittata is filled with all the fresh (hand shucked) goodness of . Vignarola is an ancient and tasty peasant recipe, based on the simplicity of its preparation and its ingredients. The bonus…. It’s vegan and it’s on my menu thanks for all you shucking did 💚💚💚

So the bread needed a friend. Creamy (no cream added) cauliflower leek soup with crunchy smoked pancetta and crispy leek threads.
Cold, rainy and very snowy means 1 thing…. with lots of seeds, crunchy, crusty in winters are short here but my tolerance for cold has diminished
With a new menu, new EXPERIENCES and a new year, 2023 is looking GREAT….Stay tuned!!!

Still takes my breath away
……The one where the professor spent all summer planning a belated birthday celebration…..To say I am overwhelmed would be an understatement. From the private plunge pool with spectacular views and a sunset that won’t quit to the amazing dinner at with the legendary Not to be outdone by private boat to and the bay of BUT most heart warming of all ……to have my dear friends J + O travel great distances and in a hectic schedule to join for a few days of laughs, love, birthday celebrations and life long memories. Could not have filled my heart ♥️ more. Last night was yet another schemed surprise of a concert with the Three Tenors in a historic museum in Sorrento with fewer than 75 people. Oh, and tagging along for the ride of her life You are now christened as our travel companion.
They say “you are only as good as your tools”. My tools are the amazing products I get from local specialty shops like .lli_truffini A deboned guinea hen, faraona, my own concoction stuffed with sausage and chestnuts. A porcini reduction sauce and a simple rucola salad. Punto. Stop. . The primo was a risotto Milanese with bone marrow…. Traditional, rich and simply delicious. Is your mouth watering yet? you are always helpful and on point. Thank you. My support you never stopped believing.
