🎶“Working 9 to 5…what a way to make a giving!” 🎶
California has now officially declared September 25 to be known as Dolly Parton Day. In celebration of Dolly Parton and her philanthropic legacy, and as part of the 925 GIVES regional fundraising campaign, Three Valleys Community Foundation (3VCF) is hosting a special challenge on September 25 for participating nonprofits. A prize of $925 will be awarded to the nonprofit that receives the highest number of online donations from unique individuals between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM.
In a nod to Parton's iconic song,
we are keeping this momentum going through Giving Day on Sept 25 by "Working 9 to 5," and making a difference one paw at a time!

Dolly Parton's compassion reached far beyond the stage. Her love for animals was such a beautiful part of the legacy she leaves behind. She used her voice, heart, and platform to make the world a kinder place for animals and give them second chances.

🐾 A Bittersweet Day of Remembrance, Reflection and Renewal 🐾
On this solemn day, the 25th anniversary of 9/11, along with the beginning of the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, a time to both celebrate and reflect, our Paws In Need team would like to take a moment to express our gratitude for our generous community of supporters, who help us sustain our life-saving programs.
Pets are not only our loyal companions, but also brave local heroes who will go to extraordinary lengths for their humans.
On Sept. 11, 2001, a yellow Labrador retriever guide dog named Roselle led her blind owner Michael Hingson down 78 floors of the north tower of the World Trade Center to safety before its collapse.
In the aftermath of this devastating attack, over 300 working dogs served in the 9/11 response effort.
These heartwarming stories are poignant reminders of the pivotal role pets play in our lives, and the importance of safeguarding those animals and pet owners in our local community who are in crisis and just need a helping hand and a second chance.
That is why Paws In Need is participating in 925 GIVES, a regional fundraising campaign to support local nonprofits.
