Alongside the Marvel Academy event we posted about yesterday, we are also featuring MTG's Annual Pride event this Friday at 6:00 p.m. During this free Commander event, you will treat all eligible commanders as though they had the partner ability. This allows you to add an additional commander to a deck you already have or use a never-before-seen combination of two commanders to helm a totally new deck. Commanders that already have abilities like partner won’t let you have more than two commanders at this event, but we applaud your enthusiasm. Remember that the extra commander still counts toward the 100 cards in your deck. All participants will receive a special Gilded Lotus promo card!

Coming up this Friday at 6:00 p.m.! Avengers Academy is a special event designed to help experienced players bring a friend into Magic and give them a taste of Marvel Super Heroes a week before Prerelease. There are no rounds, no standings, and no pressure, so Avengers Academy keeps the focus on teamwork, learning, and fun.

This casual Two-Headed Giant event invites players to team up in pairs, ideally one experienced player and one learning Magic, and play against other two-person teams using the new themed Welcome Decks. Each participant can pick a Welcome Deck featuring a Marvel character they're excited about or based on a color they'd like to play, subject to availability.
