From Danielle, our Founder:
After much reflection and consideration, I have come to the decision that Opera MODO will no longer exist in its current form following our final production of ‘The Little Mermaid’ at the Matrix Theater. Most importantly, I’ve felt the pull away from OPERA in specific as an art form, as a community, as a medium through which healing and growth can occur. My job and mission to make change from within the art form has run its course. Having received clear guidance, repeated rejection, continuous harm, and fresh new reasons to be done with OPERA after my trip to Opera America this past June, I’ve discerned that I’m no longer tasked with doing my part to “fix” or even to cultivate OPERA. This was not a decision made lightly but one that I believe is necessary for my artistic journey and well-being. I am immensely grateful for the support and memories created throughout our time at Opera MODO!

Opera MODO's Last Show! Got your tickets yet!? Danielle, founder of Opera MODO, has made a big decision about the company's future, they have decided that Opera MODO will change significantly and end its current form. Danielle is so grateful for the Detroit community and for their support.
