New Directions

A big thank you to everyone who volunteered for Repair Affair Event Day, held last Saturday, June 6th. Almost 150 volunteers came together to perform necessary home repair projects for thirteen homeowners in Louisville and southern Indiana. 🥳

Projects included:
- Window and door replacements
- Painting
- Sealing decks and accessibility ramps
- Construction of a new accessibility ramp
- Yard clean up and trimming

We were happy to attend Metropolitan Housing Coalition's 2026 Annual Meeting Dinner which brought together housing advocates, community leaders, partners, and supporters from across the region to celebrate shared commitment to fair, accessible, and affordable housing.

We appreciate NeighborWorks America! This postcard, highlighting New Directions partnership with NeighborWorks Capital was featured at their recent Executive Symposium.

Ending homelessness isn’t just a goal—it’s a proven investment. 🤝 But we only have a few days left to make sure the Louisville city budget reflects that priority.

We're heading into the last week of budget hearings. The Safe & Stable: Housing for All coalition is pushing for a full commitment to the housing continuum, from emergency shelter to permanent homes. This is our final opportunity to push for more housing investment before Metro Council finalizes the budget for the next year.
