Using Inside Out to Facilitate a Play-Based Group that Helps Children Identify Feelings
Saturday, October 24thh 9am-12pm EST
This live webinar will discuss a 6-week group format using Inside Out (also adaptable for individual clients) that introduces each feeling character and helps children build a toolbox of coping skills to handle emotional challenges. This webinar is perfect for educators and mental health professionals working with children and families! Megan Numbers, a Registered Play Therapist and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, will guide you through each week of the group format, discuss the vital role each feeling character plays in our lives, and incorporate play-based techniques that can be used in traditional settings (school, outpatient, private practice) or adapted for telehealth.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will describe their understanding of the role each feeling has using the therapeutic powers of play.
2. Participants will use creative play therapy techniques for working with children individually or in a group setting.
3. Participants will be able to adapt play therapy techniques for: individual clients, families, groups, and telehealth.
4. Participants will discuss multicultural and diverse clients to consider when using Inside Out.
Participants will receive an email with the handouts and materials needed.

Minimum Qualifications: A degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field.
A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience. Examples of specialized experience include advising on personal financial management practices to provide clients with skills to make informed personal financial management decisions; conducting interviews, developing goals and determining appropriate options for referral services.

You are invited to participate in a dissertation research study examining (a) relationship satisfaction, (b) support, and (c) life satisfaction of military spouses and unmarried military significant others in relationships with military service member partners.
Participants will be asked to complete one online survey; the estimated time frame of your participation is approximately 15 minutes.
Participants should be:
•18 years of age or older
•in a romantic relationship with a military service member who is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces
•not a current military service member
If you do not meet the description above, you are not able to be in the study.
This study is strictly confidential. Interested participants will consent to filling out a survey. The survey will have no identifiable information attached and be only reviewed by a member of the research team.
Your opinion can add value to the unique experiences of military significant others related to relationship satisfaction, support, and life satisfaction. I am new to this group but hoping someone can help me. My husband and I recently PCS’d to Fort Benning Georgia from Colorado. I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado and have been for over a year. When I applied here they are telling me I need 24 more hours of supervision before I can get my license. Does anyone have any resources or info on if there is away around this?
